After our bracing walk along the stunning beaches at Alnmouth we’d worked up a healthy appetite. So setting out in search of food we had a wander into this charming little seaside town where we happened on the Sun Inn and jolly glad we did too!
Despite the great weather and it being Mother’s Day we were lucky enough to bag the last available table in this cosy little pub on the high street. Sunday roasts were the order of the day although the bar and main dining room menu were also available for anyone who wanted a lighter option. Food is homemade, freshly prepared and sourced locally.
Service was very friendly, efficient and the atmosphere was wonderful. The advertised Sunday lunches are available in two sizes, small or standard and both very reasonably priced. All in all, great value for money.
Bed & breakfast is available with a choice of four rooms, each either ensuite or with their own private bathroom.
The Sun Inn gets the thumbs up from us and a Three Paws rating from pampered pooch. Dogs welcome but no treats in sight!
